Perfect for tea, coffee, a small portion of soup or porridge, desserts, or serving snacks. Each wide cup is entirely unique, with a varying grey, blue and green crackle glaze which breaks into a soft speckled brown on the rim. Hand thrown for Objects of Use by Jynsym Ong about a mile or so from our shop. Trained at Clay College, Stoke-On-Trent, Ong undertook an apprenticeship at Mitoh Gama (Kiln) in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. She often uses a kick wheel to impart a rhythm that is completely dictated by the body to her work. Measures approximately 13cm in diameter and 6cm in height but may vary slightly due to the hand-made nature of the object.
