English Spun Crepe Pan, 11"
£92.50
Ex Tax: £77.08
A solid, spun-iron crepe pan with an oak handle from Netherton Foundry, a Shropshire company with a noted commitment to sustainable sourcing and local manufacturing. Seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a hardwearing, repairable, and naturally very low stick finish, which like all traditional iron and steel pans will improve rather than degrade with use and age. Suitable for use on all hobs, this crepe pan has lower sides than the standard frying pan, so you can easily slide out your freshly created crepe onto its awaiting plate, while the wooden handle means you can keep on turning out the crepes without needing to worry about the handle becoming hot. Also great for frying eggs.
Care Advice
Hand wash with a stiff vegetable fibre brush, using either no soap or a very gentle soap such as Marseille White Soap. Avoid soaking. Dry immediately after washing, and either return to the hob to ensure the pan is fully dry, or dry well. There is no need to season this item, however we recommend using a little more oil than you ordinarily would for the first few uses. Store in a dry environment to prevent the formation of rust. Should rust occur, use an abrasive or rust-remover to remove, and re-season.
As this is a spun iron item, special care should be taken to prevent warping. Use the lowest possible temperature for at least a minute to ensure even heating throughout, before increasing the heat to the desired temperature. This is especially important when using an induction hob, which will heat very quickly and powerfully.
Treat the wooden handle with a mineral oil when necessary to condition the wood and prevent warping and cracking.
Please refer to product packaging for specific care and use instructions.
