A small lidded storage jar hand thrown and wood fired in Oxfordshire. Ideal for the storage of tea, coffee, salt or spices. Made from stoneware and fired in a salt glaze kiln — the result of the combination of the firing environment and the introduction of salt into the kiln during the firing, creating a distinctive glaze style. Wheel-thrown by Joseph Bull, a studio potter based in Oxfordshire, who trained with Knighton Mill Pottery and the Leach Pottery in St Ives, before establishing his own studio in Wootton, Oxfordshire.
