Double Sided Axe Stone with Leather Case
£79.00
Ex Tax: £65.83
A double sided portable whetstone for use on axes and other straight or convex garden and outdoor tools. Always used with water the stone has a coarser (darker) side of 150 grit for the rapid restoration of damaged or neglected edges, and a finer(paler) side of 600 grit, with a groove between for grip and to protect fingers during the sharpening process. Best used with small circular motions moving steadily back and forth along the whole length of the edge and with equal work to both sides (assuming a symmetrical blade). Supplied with a leather case.
Care Advice
Avoid getting leather soaking wet, when it is time to clean it a lukewarm damp cloth will do. If the leather has been soaked it should not be dried with a hairdryer or furnace, but rather dried slowly in a warm location. Oil with a leather conditioner to soften the leather every so often, as failing to do so could lead to cracks or tears. Apply a small amount to a cloth and rub into the leather, covering the whole surface. Use friction to heat the leather, allowing the conditioner to soak in, and leave for 30 minutes. Using a clean cloth, wipe away any excess
