Finnish Sauna Bench Cleaning Brush
£17.00
Ex Tax: £14.17
With a stock shaped from boreal birch, the shorter fibres are of light coloured tampico (harvested from an agave found only in the Chihuahuan desert). The longer dark arenga (a type of palm fibre traditionally used for the most hardwearing nautical rope) is slightly stiffer, to reach and clean between the slats of sauna benches, or into the grooves of wood panelling, metal grills and griddles. Hand-stitched by the crafts people of a Finnish visually impaired workers cooperative. Measures around 14cm long, and 7cm high.
Care Advice
Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little dish soap and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting.
- Materials Boreal birchwood, metal wire, tampico fibre, and arenga fibre
