Scrubbing brush No.6, zatacon scrubber
A flat scrubbing brush of waxed beech and a fibre known as rice root, which isn't from rice at all, but from zatacon, a grass native to the high arid plains of central Mexico. The bristles are both stiff and remarkably hard wearing - coarser than tampico or union blend, yet not so vicious x metal wire - making these brushes ideal for tougher jobs especially where care must still be taken not to scratch. Made in Germany by the Redecker company, who since 1935 have been hand making brushes using traditional methods and natural materials. About 23cm long.
