An elegantly shaped footed tea bowl with faceted and textured surface in a delicate pale green, with tenmoku to the interior and base. Wheel-thrown in the Cotswolds village of St Chloe by Tom Knowles Jackson. Perfect for tasting teas, including matcha. A potter from a young age, Knowles Jackson returned to ceramics following careers in the army and business, and now creates his own standard range of high fired stoneware. Using a small range of glazes derived from iron, copper and wood ash, Knowles Jackson fires his pieces in a self-built down-draught wood fired kiln. Measures approximately 9cm in diameter with a height of 8cm, though due to the hand-thrown nature of Tom’s work, this may vary by a centimetre or so.
