A classic salt pig with loop handle and tenmoku glaze to the interior, wheel-thrown in the Cotswolds village of St Chloe by Tom Knowles Jackson. A potter from a young age (trained by Steve Sheridan as a schoolboy and strongly influenced by local potter Richard Batterham), Tom returned to ceramics following careers in the army and business, and now creates his own standard range of high fired stoneware. Using a small range of his own glazes derived from iron, copper and wood ash, Tom creates beautiful pieces for daily use, with a robust yet refined aesthetic, with an emphasis on the ceremony of eating and drinking. This salt pig measures approximately 12cm x 12cm. Dishwasher, food & oven safe.
