A hand-crafted Barlow Knife, with hand-finished hardwood handle. The Barlow knife has its origins in Sheffield as an outdoors-man’s knife — perfect for for day to day use at work, in the garden or in the workshop. This hand-finished knife is made in a specialised and dedicated workshop at the New Eye Witness Works in Sheffield. The 6.5cm blade is made in 420H stainless steel, and is 9cm in length when closed.

Care Advice

Hand wash and dry well with a soft cloth immediately after use. Ensure the knife is never left sitting in wet conditions. High quality stainless steel knives will often include a high-carbon element, to increase performance. These kind of stainless steels are not 100% rust proof, and will require careful handling. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary. Treat the wooden handle with a mineral oil when necessary to condition the wood and prevent warping and cracking.
