A small hand held brush for sensitive surfaces, niches, fine delicate items, and the careful focussed cleaning of more valuable artefacts, or dusting a mantelpiece. Made with very fine soft goat hair mounted to a turned, oiled beech stock. From the workshops of a family run brush-makers in Germany, who have specialised in the traditional methods of hand brush manufacture since the 1930s. 22cm total length, with a head of about 5.5cm.
Care Advice
Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little shampoo and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting.
Note that clothes moths will go for animal fibre brushes in the same way that they will for animal fibre clothes. Keep brushes in a dust free environment, and treat surfaces with cedar oil to repel them.
