Semi-Porcelain Rectangular Butter Dish

A compact rectangular deep butter dish with lid, made in semi-porcelain and glazed in a creamy, some might say buttery, glaze. Made in Aichi Prefecture in Japan by Marumitsu Poterie, established in 1950, who create table and kitchenwares embracing both traditional and modern ceramic techniques, using a diverse range of natural materials (porcelain, stoneware, earthenware and open-fire resistant earthenware). Their collection of tableware and donabes are made from natural clay excavated from the Japanese mountains, shaped and glazed by hand, with dipped or hand-brushed glazes. Measures 142mm long (122mm interior) 77cm wide (59mm interior) and 53mm high. Microwave and dishwasher safe, but not oven safe.
