Hand-made of boxwood and brass the goldfinch call can be used to accurately replicate the high pitched twittering of one of our more common, and attractive, garden birds. Imbued perhaps with the spirit of Doolittle, M. François Morel, who spent an idyllic childhood amongst the hills of the Rhône-Alpes region, hand crafts these instruments so that he and others might communicate with birds, creating 'toys' to inspire a greater love of nature. Care Advice
Leave to dry before storing, and remove as much moisture from the interior as possible after playing. Store in a dry environment. Those who have played a woodwind instrument can attest that warming the wood to body temperature will slow condensation, resulting in less interior moisture — placing it under an armpit helps! Condition with a mineral oil every now and then to prevent the wood from drying out too much.
