A gift set comprising two hand thrown tea light holders from Symy Ong, and four matching beeswax tea lights. A small unglazed candle holder, hand-thrown and carved for us in iron-rich stoneware by Symy Ong a mile or so from the Objects of Use store. Designed with the provided tea lights in mind, this candle holder makes a thoughtful addition to any table setting. Ong, who apprenticed for a year with a Japanese wood-fired pottery, has since set up studio in Oxford, making stoneware pieces which are fired in a gas kiln. Like honey these tea lights naturally vary in colour from a deep golden orange through to light creamy yellows mottled with an occasional dusty bloom, and are blessed both in storage and in use with a glorious honeyed scent. Each has an approximate 3 hour burn time.
