A stainless steel, wavy-bladed scraping tool, made in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. With a short hardwood handle into which the blade is riveted in place, this strong tool can be used to effortlessly clear weeds, moss and general grubbage from paving areas, between slabs in corners. 27cm length, with a blade of 8cm.
Care Advice
Hand wash and dry well with a soft cloth immediately after use. Ensure the knife is never left sitting in wet conditions. High quality stainless steel knives will often include a high-carbon element, to increase performance. These kind of stainless steels are not 100% rust proof, and will require careful handling. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary.
Treat the wooden handle with a mineral oil when necessary to condition the wood and prevent warping and cracking.
