The No.48 spool holds over 250 metres of 3 ply jute fillis from the Nutscene company of Angus, Scotland. The ideal garden twine, this like all of Nutscene's jute twines is still wound on the original machinery in the Breahead Works which first opened in 1922, a time when almost all the worlds jute passed through the mills of nearby Dundee, renowned city of ‘jam, jute, and journalism’.
