A traditional French professional style blini pan made from thick blue steel, great for even heat distribution and suited to any heat source, including induction. Fantastic for cooking blinis and drop scones, or toasting spices and seeds — also wonderful for making dipping sauces like garlic butter! Properly prepared this will increasingly outperform any non stick pan, will last a life time, and actually improve with age. Will blacken as the steel bonds with layers of oil and carbon, forming what amounts to a natural non stick coating. Diameter 12cm.
Care Advice
Hand wash with a stiff vegetable fibre brush, using either no soap or a very gentle soap such as Marseille White Soap. Avoid soaking. Dry immediately after washing, and either return to the hob to ensure the pan is fully dry, or dry well.
Season with oil before first use, and re-season when necessary. Store in a dry environment to prevent the formation of rust. Should rust occur, use an abrasive or rust-remover to remove, and re-season.
