Swedish Dish-Wash Whisk, Double Winding, Black
£12.50
Ex Tax: £10.42
A traditional and beautiful washing up whisk, with a double winding in black nylon thread, which creates a looser end and a tighter end, giving a gentle or tougher scrubbing effect — the tighter end is great for stubborn dirt. Made of rice root, which isn't rice at all but the root of a grass called zatacon, native to the arid Mexican highlands. These are very stiff, being effectively a scouring brush. From Iris Hantverk in Sweden, where visually impaired craftsmen produce beautiful handmade brushes.
Care Advice
Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little dish soap and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting.
- Weight g 30g
