Japanese Linen & Ramie Pot Mat, Black Check

Japanese Linen & Ramie Pot Mat, Black Check
£14.50
Ex Tax: £12.08

A thick pot holder or teapot mat, woven from a linen and ramie blend in a wide black gingham check. Great for grabbing hot pans, or roasters, or protecting surfaces from teapot heat. A small looped tag can be used for hanging, to keep the mat in easy reach. One of the world's oldest cultivated fibres, ramie is derived from plants in the nettle family and is known especially for its ability to hold shape and reduce wrinkling. Woven in Japan for Studio M using linen of French origin. Measures 15cm by 15cm.

Please note some shrinkage and fading may occur after washing, and it is recommended to use a laundry net when washing. Linen is best washed using a cycle that doesn't use lower amounts of water, due to its absorbency.

Care Advice

Wash separately at 40 — 60°C, in plenty of water. Avoid softener and bleach, especially on towels as this can affect their absorbency. Do not tumble dry and reshape while damp. Linen bought “Unwashed” will shrink by approximately 7% after washing, its surface wrinkling and softening. Iron while the fabric is still damp, remembering that linen dries quickly.
