A small, cylindrical box shaped incense holder hand thrown in stoneware with a footed base to reduce heat transfer. The removable lid features a hole to allow the scent of incense cones or Papier d’Armenie incense papers to waft through the room. Glazed in a deep, glossy, tenmoku glaze which varies from black to an amber brown on the edges. Hand thrown and glazed by Simon Horton which is then reduction fired in South Oxfordshire in a small gas kiln of his own making.
Please note that the small holes in the bottom of the lid must be aligned with the holes in the base to allow ventilation which ensures the incense will not be extinguished from a lack of oxygen. Measures approximately 7cm in diameter with a height of 6cm — though this may vary slightly given the hand made nature of the object.
