Chantry Classic Knife Sharpener, White
£51.00
Ex Tax: £42.50
On permanent display at MOMA New York, and based around a replaceable mechanism originally designed for use by the meat processing industry and in unchanged production since 1929. The Chantry sharpener consists of 2 rolling spring loaded butchers steels, mounted at the perfect sharpening angle within a stable, heavy, easy grip, cast iron case. It provides a foolproof method for sharpening European pattern stainless or carbon steel knives — they are simply drawn through, without the application of excessive pressure as if slicing bread. Made in Sheffield.
Care Advice
Replacement steels are available. Please keep away from moisture, and use a clean dry knife. Only suitable for “Western” style knives, ie. those that are ground to 20° on each side. This should not be used to sharpen a Japanese knife or a single bevelled blade.
- Weight g 640g
- Item Dimensions L12.3 x W4 x H11.4
- Materials Coated cast iron and steel
