A 55% linen, 32% cotton and 13% tencel dark grey soap scrub, with hand strap, made from leftover fabrics, to minimise waste. Woven by the master weavers at Lapuan Kankurit, in the Ostrobothnian district of western Finland. Measuring 10cm x 15cm, this scrub is great for gently exfoliating your skin as you wash. Simply insert your favourite soap (or pieces of), and use to lather whilst invigorating your surface blood circulation. Lapuan Kankurit, a fourth-generation weaving family, has been creating its beautiful linen fabrics for over 45 years. Set up initially by husband and wife Juha and Liisa Hjelt, it is now run by their son Esko and his wife Jaana. Devoted to their craft, they weave nothing but the absolute best quality, with uncompromising workmanship, using only natural raw materials, such as linen and wool. All their linen is grown in Central Europe using only as they describe it earth and rainwater.
Care Advice
Wash separately at 40 — 60°C, in plenty of water. Avoid softener and bleach, especially on towels as this can affect their absorbency. Do not tumble dry and reshape while damp. Linen bought “Unwashed” will shrink by approximately 7% after washing, its surface wrinkling and softening. Iron while the fabric is still damp, remembering that linen dries quickly.
