A Japanese earthenware footed table bowl, with fluted sides, a soft natural glaze and a contrasting rim. Great for breakfast or soups. Made in Aichi Prefecture in Japan by Marumitsu Poterie, established in 1950, who create table and kitchenwares embracing both traditional and modern ceramic techniques, using a diverse range of natural materials (porcelain, stoneware, earthenware and open-fire resistant earthenware). Their collection of tableware and donabes are made from natural clay excavated from the Japanese mountains, shaped and glazed by hand, with dipped or hand-brushed glazes. Measures 129mm in diameter and 68mm high, with a capacity of 480cc. Microwave and dishwasher safe, but not oven safe.
