A painted hornbeam ten section folding rule from Germany, measuring 2m total with precise steel hinges and end-caps. 90° locking on all limbs with 90°, 75°, 60° and 45° markings on the second link allowing the rule to function as an effective sliding bevel in a pinch. Hornbeam is Europes strongest wood, ensuring break resistance and longevity even in thin sections, hence its common use in high grade plywoods. These are constructed with accuracy class III, and have a deviation of no more than ±1mm over 2 metres.
