Portuguese Half-Bound Notebook, A6, Plain
£17.50

A skilfully hand-bound notebook with 100 pages, made in the Lisbon workshops of Papelarias Emilio Braga who have been producing these ‘Galocha’ archetypal Portuguese notebooks in the city since 1918. This strong and durable binding method, which emerged in the 18th century, involves covering the spine and corners of the book with a strong buckram cloth, while the faces of the book are covered in leatherette — resulting in book which is built to endure the challenges of everyday use. With colour-matching sponged page-edges, and an elastic to keep the notebook closed when in transit.
