Terra hydro 160:80 hydroponic case
Japanese display vases designed and hand fabricated by Daisuke Tsumanuma and Kenichi Yamada of glass, copper, lead came, and solder. Reminiscent of museum or specimen cases these are designed after the nineteenth century terrariums from which they draw their name, and like those are made for collecting and showcasing plants - desert and tropical exotica and most especially succulents and cacti. The simple stark lines of the lead-work lending their contents the illusion of floating in space within a cage and granting a rare opportunity to study the intricacies of root formations so often buried in dirt and sand. The 120:80 is made with an upper cuboid of 160mm height by 80mm square over an 80mm cube section giving an overall height of about 240mm.
