Plain weave natural coloured Irish linen napkins with a mitre cornered one inch hem and punch-spoke detail. Manufactured in Banbridge, Co. Down, Northern Ireland by the company of Thomas Ferguson who have been producing fine linens in the town since an estimated 1845 when upon successful completion of a lengthy apprenticeship the eponymous Thomas Ferguson set up as an independent handloom weaver for the very first time. Approximately 46cm square. Perhaps a kind of Irish tengui? Napkin ring not supplied.
