Symy Ong hand-thrown pique-fleur
£45.00

A cylindrical flower vase with perforated lid, hand-thrown and assembled for us in stoneware by Jynsym Ong, a mile or so from the Objects of Use store. Perfect for holding a few fresh or dry stems in an artful display. With a lively flecked blue-white glaze, which leans towards green in hotter parts of the kiln. Ong, who apprenticed for a year with a Japanese wood-fired pottery, has since set up studio in Oxford, making stoneware pieces which are fired in a gas kiln.
