A double-sided forked hoe hand-forged in Catalonia by Cuchillería Pallarès, the one surviving knife and tool maker in a town once dotted with manufacturers. Made of carbon steel, with a 49cm beech wood handle, secured through the eye with a steel wedge which is simply knocked tighter as required. This versatile tool benefits from the added weight, balance, and strength its two-bladed construction affords. Used for chopping out stubborn weeds and roots, cultivating soil, and raking out debris between bedding plants or vegetables. Very approximately 49cm x 23cm x 6cm. This blackened-finish carbon steel is extremely hard, thereby guaranteeing excellent cutting quality, good wear resistance and easy regrinding. Carbon can corrode easily, so it is advised that users avoid damp locations and wipe and grease the blade after use.
