Saya nata, right-handed hatchet
£75.00

A hand forged long bladed carbon steel pruning hatchet with a lacquered Japanese Oak handle. From Asano Mokkousho of Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, central Japan. In use these are probably closer to a billhook than the hatchet or machete that they variously get translated as. The single bevel allows cuts tight to the trunk when pruning or limbing shrubs or small trees. Supplied with a leatherette covered poplar wood holster, designed to be carried safely on a belt. About 36cm overall length, with a blade of about 16.5cm. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional £3.25 courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.
