Savon d'Alep 170g, 30 percent laurel oil
£9.50
Genuine Aleppo olive and 30% bay oil soap produced to a 3000 year old recipe only between the months of November and February (and when circumstances allow). Traditionally hot processed over 12 hours in steam heated cauldrons, allowing for the thorough saponification of the slowly thickening curds, before washing, cutting, stamping, and 9 months of curing in specially aerated cellars. Aleppo laurel soap is renowned for its healing and antibacterial properties, whilst its olive base moisturises and nourishes the skin. 170 grams, or very approximately 6cm by 7cm by 5cm, although with a relatively low moisture content this does in our experience last significantly longer than similarly sized industrially produced bars.
