£14.00

A lightweight scarf of Cotton and fine Sasawashi, a unique fabric composed entirely of paper — Sasawashi yarns are made from twisted strips of paper, the composition of which is part Washi, and part kumazasa (a type of  bamboo). The wider the strip the thicker the yarn, and once they have been spun they can be woven or knitted into products with with all the benefits of this new fabric — including high water and oil absorbency, natural antibacterial and deodorant power from the added kumazasa, and a washing durability on a par with Cotton. Lightweight and breathable, so that it is not bulky when worn. 60% Cotton, 40% Sasawashi. Machine washable, though a net is recommended. Measures 20cm by 130cm.
