Pocket Haberdasher's or Children's Scissors
£29.50
A pair of 4 inch chrome-plated scissors of a pattern originating in Rouen, Northern France. These scissors were traditionally favoured by the cloth merchants of Paris as their double rounded blades neither snagged whilst cutting cloth, nor whilst stored in pockets for easy access and regular use. Made in small workshops in the town of Nogent in the Haute-Marne region of France — a place known for its cutlery and scissor manufacturing since the early 14th century. Perfect for cutting ribbons or fabrics, or as a general crafting scissor for children.
