Koh-i-Noor Mechanical Notebook Pencil
A pencil with a mechanical advance and integral sharpener (inside the push button) for purses, pockets and small notebooks. During the Napoleonic wars a continental shortage of high quality Cumbrian graphite pushed Joseph Hardtmuth to develop a pencil lead made from powdered graphite mixed with clay and in so doing created the very first modern pencil. Today the the company he founded maintains his legacy in the production of traditional and mechanical pencils, in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. The total length comes to about 11.5cm.
