Drehgriffel Number 2, Mechanical Pencil, Olive
£25.50

The Drehgriffel Nr. 2 mechanical pencil, a companion to the Nr. 1, is inspired by an original design dating back to the 1920s. Made from precision-milled aluminium and steel, the Drehgriffel Nr. 2 pencil has a hexagon-shaped barrel, a tapered steel tip and a twist button top. The writing and drawing utensil’s mechanism is made in Germany — by pressing the twist button, the gripper at the tip opens and the lead is pushed out. When the twist button is released, the gripper closes again and holds the lead in place. Inside, a quiver holds several leads and pushes the next one down when the current lead is used up. Drehgriffel means 'rotary stylus', referring to the pen’s twist mechanism for retracting and extending of the lead. Comes with a 0.7mm HB graphite lead (refills also available). Made by Leuchtturm who, founded in the year 1917, have been producing fine stationery for over 100 years. Measures 13 cm long.
