A stoneware coffee cup, perfect for cappucino or latte, as well as hot chocolate, hand thrown by Simon Horton and reduction fired in South Oxfordshire in a small gas kiln of his own making. With a homemade ash glaze, developed through many hours of experimentation, producing a soft green glaze, flecked through with darker brown here and there. With an admiration for pots quiet, understated and modest, Simon finds inspiration from medieval slipware to early Chinese and Korean pottery and feeds this back into his work. Height of 6cm, with a diameter of 9cm, approximately.
