French Salt mill with cranked handle
An ergonomically shaped, beech-bodied salt mill from De Buyer of France, with a pot-bellied shape which sits comfortably in the hand, and a cranked handle for turning the grinder. The salt milling mechanism is made by Marlux, from a factory that began making mills in 1875. Made using 18/10 stainless steel with a special corrosion resistant coating and continuously variable teeth for even sized grinds. For large grained dry salt — damp salts may clog the mechanism.
