A simple dish-style candle holder, hand thrown for us in Oxfordshire, perfect for our hand dipped beeswax dinner, stubby and long dinner candles. With a stoneware / porcelain mix body and a beech ash glaze, which is gas-fired to create a beautiful depth to the glaze. The holders are fired on clam shells, to give a beautiful toasted finish to the underside. Wheel-thrown by Joseph Bull, a studio potter based in Oxfordshire, who trained with Knighton Mill Pottery and the Leach Pottery in St Ives, before establishing his own studio in Wootton. Measures approximately 11 – 12cm diameter.
