Jack Welbourne bowl
A hand thrown individual serving or breakfast bowl with a blue-grey nuka glaze. After training in Cardiff and Gothenburg, Sweden, Welbourne set up studio in Cardiff, where he produces wheel-thrown stoneware in red Cornish clay, gas-fired using glazes mixed in his studio (sometimes using materials dug locally, combined with potash, chalk, iron oxide and flint). Jack is inspired by the concave curvatures of neolithic Chinese and early Korean clayware. Measures very approximately 15.5cm diameter, by 6.5cm high. Tumbler and larger bowl shown in some images available separately.
