Bone egg spoon
A simple creamy-white cow-bone spoon cut, shaped, and polished by hand in Carnforth, Lancashire in the workshops of Britain's last remaining commercial horn-works. Like horn bone does not taint or affect the flavour of food, and can be considered a natural alternative to plastic. The bone egg spoons will withstand higher temperatures than the horn, as they lack keratins thermoplastic properties, which also goes some way to explaining their more primitive form as they are not so easily bent to the horns more elegant curves.
