Oxfordshire stoneware table bowl, Joseph Bull
An elegant but sturdy footed table bowl, hand thrown for us in Oxfordshire. Suitable for cereal, soup or stews, it’s deep shape meaning food stays warm a little longer. With a stoneware / porcelain mix body and an apple ash glaze, which is gas-fired to create a beautiful depth to the glaze. Wheel-thrown by Joseph Bull, a studio potter based in Oxfordshire, who trained with Knighton Mill Pottery and the Leach Pottery in St Ives, before establishing his own studio in Wootton, Oxfordshire.
