Yasai setsu kama, vegetable sickle
£15.00

A small serrated stainless steel vegetable harvesting sickle with a poplar wood handle from Asano Mokkousho of Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, central Japan. Typically used for harvesting and trimming leafy vegetables, the incredibly sharp, fine, but aggressively serrated blade will make short work of lettuce or brassica stems without being so long as to become snagged or tangled thus potentially damaging other plants when used amongst tightly planted rows. The overall length is about 28cm, the length of the blade about 11.5cm.
