A longer handled and larger headed hand broom made with a birch stock cut from slow growing Fennoscandian boreal forests hand stitched with dark horse hair bristles by the crafts people of a Finnish visually impaired workers cooperative. In Finland where low relative humidity and extreme cold helps keep slush and sleet at bay these are used to brush powder snow from cars, boots, and clothing, but here they make an ideal broom for sweeping over and under furniture or for those who might prefer a longer reach. About 46cm overall length with a head of about 17cm.
