A traditional and beautiful washing up whisk, with a double winding in black nylon thread, which creates a looser end and a tighter end, giving a gentle or tougher scrubbing effect — the tighter end is great for stubborn dirt. Made of rice root, which isn't rice at all but the root of a grass called zatacon, native to the arid Mexican highlands. These are very stiff, being effectively a scouring brush.
