A copper-bound, three bundle shuro table brush particularly recommended for wooden surfaces as the fibres contain natural oils especially beneficial to these surfaces. Shuro is an interwoven fibrous sheath harvested from the trunk of hemp palms. Bound in Wakayama prefecture, Japan, by the craftsmen of Yamamoto Katsunosuke Shoten, one of a handful of remaining ‘Edo’ broom makers still active in Japan, from Chinese grown, cut, and bundled shuro. With dark bamboo handle and plaited twine hanging loop. Approximately 25cm long x 10cm wide.
