Spanish forged splitting maul
A 2.8 kilogram hickory handled heavy splitting maul designed to combat the resistance of hard and dry Iberian timber. Typically used for breaking down firewood mauls are heavier and more wedge shaped than finer cutting axes. Now with a workforce of 15 the management still split their time between administrative necessity and manual craft production. Overall length, about 90cm, length of head about 22cm.
