White on clear glass baubles, hot dipped into grains of red, yellow, gold, and a little violet or blue, then turned, twisted, and blown to create unique organic effects. Individually mouth blown in small lamp workshops in Lauscha, Germany, the town where in 1847 Hans Greiner was credited with their invention, and where the blowing of Christmas ornaments, lamp-working of glass eyes, animals, even medical equipment, still exists as an almost cottage industry. Sold individually, diameter about 8cm.
