A classic, rectangular shaped polenta board from Italy with a dished form, for spreading with freshly cooked creamy polenta, before topping with delicious ragout and bringing to the table for a striking dinner-time centrepiece. Polenta is a humble and traditional food from the beautiful cornfield-filled region of Veneto, which should be cooked with wooden spoons and eaten from wooden plates, as contact with metal is said to ruin its flavour. This rectangular dish makes a great centrepiece for table use, and can be used for serving breads, cheeses or other foods, or as a fruit dish. Wash by hand. Measures 38cm x 18cm x 2.5cm. Made in Italy by Panetta Casalinghi, who have been producing traditional kitchen tools from wood for over 50 years.
