Hand-made French Bird call, Starlings
£59
Hand-made in France from rubber and brass, the starling is a fairly easy call to master, the rubber pipes held between forefinger and thumb and the hand turned rapidly back and forth - it mimics the call not of a single bird, but of a small gathering. Made by M. François Morel, who spent an idyllic childhood amongst the hills of the Rhône-Alpes region, and now hand crafts these instruments so that he might inspire a greater love of birds and nature. Information on the starling, and a sample of their song can be found here.
