Der Kleine Schwede miniature houses game
£10.50
Der Kleine Schwede, or 'little Sweden', whose vernacular houses these are made to resemble — a tiny dyed and stamped beech building set contained within a classic matchbox. First produced in 1908 in Samuel Friedrich Fischer’s wooden toy factory at Oberseiffenbach in the German Ore mountains, by the Czech border. More than a century later this versatile hamlet is made in the nearby Neuhausen, virtually unchanged in design, materials, or manufacture. 7 pieces, with diagrams of 14 constructions. The box measures about 60mm x 40mm x 18mm.
