French Pepper mill with cranked handle
An ergonomically shaped, beech-bodied pepper mill from De Buyer of France, with a pot-bellied shape which sits comfortably in the hand, and a cranked handle for turning the grinder. The mechanism is made by Marlux, from a factory that began making mills in 1875. The pepper milling parts are fabricated using case-hardened carbon steel with dual tooth rings to help maintain the flow of peppercorns. It works best turned in a clockwise direction only.
